**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate College Advisor to join our team. As a College Advisor, you will play a vital role in guiding students through the college application process, helping them make informed decisions about their academic future, and supporting them in achieving their goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education and a passion for helping students succeed.
**Duties:**
- Provides advice and guidance to active-duty members on CCAF degree opportunities by evaluating military training and course completions, reviewing transcripts and applying credit obtained. Conducts follow-up activities (phone calls, mail-outs, emails) to ensure individual student educational objectives are being met.
- Advises Active-Duty Air Force (ADAF) personnel on all programs available through voluntary off-duty education, such as the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), DANTES, The Air University (AU), officer accession programs and other educational support programs.
- Pulls the Advanced Standing List, Five-Year Warning, Candidate Status and Possible Graduates reports from the CCAF Online website to email potential graduates and to track in progress and/or actual graduates.
- Instructs service members on how to use the Civilian Course Conversion Table (CivCCT), the Military Course Conversion Table (Mil CCT) and the 2017 Credit by Exam Matirx by Degree Program, as well as, how to track a transcript, submit a transcript and order a transcript.
- Submits CCAF Action Requests to CCAF Program Managers and follows up with the services members regarding replies and/or action taken by CCAF.
- Assists all ADAF with information regarding Air Force tuition assistance information (does not obligate funds), Veteran Administration education benefits, federal financial assistance programs, local scholarships, and Air Force Aid Society.
- Thoroughly documents every phone call, email and conversation with service members in AFAEMS and provides the Education Services Officer (ESO) with weekly statistics.
- Responsible for retrieving CCAF graduation confirmation emails from the organization email box, sending the notification to the service member, uploading a copy of the notification letter into Student Document Folder in AFAEMS and updating the CCAF Education Goal/marking the goal as complete.
- Assists incoming CCAF Instructors with requirements and enrollment into Instructor of Technology & Military Science degree. Maintain communication with the 533rd and 532 Training Squadron’s CCAF Liaisons. CCAF Advisor will sign off the Instructor’s In-Processing worksheet provided by the squadron and the advisor provide a signed Web Progress Report Worksheet for the member.
- Refers students to the appropriate academic institution representative for registration and enrollment in courses or programs that pertain to their education goals.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the DANTES test program and advises students of DANTES tests that are applicable to their programs of study.
- Advises Space Launch Delta 30 designated graduation committee on semi-annual CCAF graduation ceremonies. The contractor will communicate with CCAF and others regarding graduate certificates, Pitsenbarger Awards, etc. Provides E&TSC with graduation dates. Provides E&TSC weekly committee updates via email up to the day of the ceremony.
- Uses the Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS) to maintain individual student records.
