Summary
The Network Specialist is a network resource responsible for maintenance and support of the County's LAN/WAN, datacenter, telephony, and servers. The Network Specialist will manage the operations, servers and the enterprise storage; production and redundant servers; manages backup/restore operations and manages the efficiency, reliability, of the County IT infrastructure. Duties within this job may be considered to be essential to the restoration of services outside of normal business hours. Individuals in this job are required to answer such calls.
Essential Duties
Manage the activities of the Network. Provide Server Administration for a 75 node VMware Servers and Azure Servers. Provide Storage Administration for SAN (Storage Area Network) with 175Tb. Manage, create rules and objects in Fortinet Firewalls. Provide first level troubleshooting for all enterprise systems, applications, desktop, network and Windows domain functions as required. Assist with installation, upgrades and support of County applications (e.g., Web servers, imaging system, GIS, MS Exchange, Microsoft SQL, remote access capabilities and all critical systems required for County business functions. Maintain, create, test all Backup jobs. Troubleshoot network outages. Provide on-call and after-hours support. Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required. Creation of Network Accounts using Active Directory. Manage, create all networked printers/copiers. Use SCCM for software package creation /push installs. Use SCCM for send out security patches monthly. Creation of E-Mail accounts using Microsoft 365. Maintain, create network file shares. Ability to maintain and create DNS records. Assign and keep track of all Microsoft licensing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information systems, or similar degree, or commensurate years of experience in the Network Admin/Specialist field.

Residence Requirement: The County ofDelaware has a residency requirement for employees. Anyone applying for this job must reside in Delaware County or be willing to move to the County within six months of starting employment.
