Psychologist - Ph.D jobs in Grand Rapids, MI
Psychologist - Ph.D evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Being a Psychologist - Ph.D uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a PhD in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - Ph.D requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - Ph.D works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Observation of autism evaluation as conducted by the clinical assessment staff
Conduct developmental, intellectual, and neuropsychological testing tools needed for differential diagnosis
Measure and interpret scores.
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in electronic medical records in a timely manner.
Review and signature on all autism evaluations and subsequent reports
Reviews and consults with other clinical assessment staff as part of the consensus scoring practice within the department.
Ramp-up period of 30 days conducting 2 assessments per week
3 evals per week after 30 days up to 60 days
4 evals per week after 60 days
Time Commitment: initially maximum 10 hours per week with the potential to increase up to a max of 15 hours per week after full program implementation
