    POSITION :

    TEMPORARY LECTURERS IN Psychology : The Department of Psychology

    invites applications for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. Candidates selected will teach one or some combination of courses in Psychology.

    These courses may be offered in Turlock, Stockton, or online. This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    A Masters's degree in psychology or a closely related field is required. Coursework or experience in specific areas of psychology, depending on the courses available.

    COMPENSATION :

    Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.

    Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2.

    Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.

    The Department of Psychology / Child Development is an eclectic group, serving approximately 1500 undergraduate majors and minors and about 100 graduate students.

    CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE

    The university requires a criminal and / or child abuse background check to be completed for many of its new employees, current employees seeking promotional or transfer opportunities, and current employees assigned new duties.

    Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and / or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.

    Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
