    About the candidate

    BIG FISH PR is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented, strategic thinker to act as Assistant Account Manager for several of our firm’s PR clients. This person should have:

    • A public relations or communications degree and a minimum of three years of relevant PR experience.
    • PR agency experience in the technology, B2B, and/or consumer industries.
    • A track record of delivering results for clients.
    • The desire to be a part of a fast-moving, collaborative, small team.

    BIG FISH PR is seeking an ambitious, skilled and highly organized individual to act as Assistant Account Manager. Public relations, marketing or communications degree and relevant experience are required. Communication expertise, outstanding time management skills, and a passion for public relations, social media and technology are essential to succeed in this position.

    About the job

    The Assistant Account Manager plays an important role in supporting the account team in the execution of strategic PR programs. This person will primarily focus on executing creative PR and corporate communication campaigns on behalf of BIG FISH PR clients. Additionally, the Assistant Account Manager will maintain strong relationships with both reporters and BIG FISH PR clients to ensure long-term success for clients and our agency.

    Travel: Occasionally

    Responsibilities

    Public Relations

    • Develop pitches and story lines to secure on-message, top tier media coverage for clients.
    • Assist account management team with the representation of clients at press events, awards ceremonies and trade shows.
    • Draft press releases, backgrounders, media training materials and press kits.
    • Build events, awards and speaking calendars for clients and secure relevant opportunities for clients.
    • Research industry trends and stay up-to-date on current events and news to keep clients relevant in the press.

    Account Coordination

    • Act as a proactive, key support to account management team and assist in all account management duties.
    • Track, report and measure success of PR campaigns and client media coverage.
    • Prepare meeting schedules, call agendas, and account updates for specific roster of clients.
    • Ensure that your supervisor is kept fully informed on activities of team, media and clients.
