Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Public Relations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will formulate our public relations approach and enhance the company’s voice and presence. You will address any public relations concerns, manage media requests, issue press releases, and generally ensure that the company’s image reflects our values and mission. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and has previous experience in corporate communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop public relations policies and strategies
- Promote the company through both online and offline channels
- Respond to requests from media for comments or interviews
- Write and submit press releases
- Respond to public relations crises in a proactive manner
- Facilitate dispute resolution in a manner that is satisfactory to all parties
- Gather survey data and analyze results
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
- Previous experience as a Public Relations Specialist or in a similar role
- Experience with project management
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs
- Skilled in the use of social media platforms
- Strong public speaking skills
