Being a Purchasing Agent interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Agent coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Agent independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Purchasing Agent:
Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Agent to be responsible for all aspects of purchasing support including administration, bidding, recruiting, processing options, performing takeoffs, and preparing site condition reports. In addition, the associate is responsible to assist with communication and pricing negotiations with Suppliers/Trade Partners for the division.,

Daily interaction with various division personnel, outside agencies, business partners, consultants and homeowners. Regular contact with the general public. Frequent external contacts where matters discussed require resourcefulness, patience, clarity and tact.
Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office and/or the field environment. Also requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend stoop, reach, lift, move and carry items weighing 50 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer
monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork, and meeting with Suppliers/Trade Partners and to receive/return phone messages.
