Purchasing Coordinator
Terra Sonic International LLC, (TSi) specializes in the application of Sonic Drilling Technology to the Minerals, Mining, Environmental, Geotechnical & Geo-Construction and Water Exploration markets. Terra Sonic designs, engineers, and manufacturers state-of-the-art Sonic Drill Rigs, Oscillators, Tooling and Support Equipment as well as provides training and support on deployment of proprietary Sonic Technology.
The role of the Purchasing Coordinator is to lead, schedule, and monitor all outside process components throughout their entirety, while minimizing the impact to daily production. It is necessary that this individual enjoys hands-on involvement and a range of day-to-day activities in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail oriented, highly responsible, and passionate about contributing to the overall success of the team.
Responsibilities include:

Creates work orders and purchase orders for outside process operations and WIPs parts to finished goods once received back at our facility.
- Coordinates with TSi shipping, TSi staging, production, and suppliers on when items are scheduled to be shipped/picked up.

Maintains an open line of communication with vendors, through weekly/daily meetings.

Examines paint quality on incoming part arrivals and addresses any concern items with vendor.

Reviews reorder points and directs raw stock items are sent to the appropriate supplier, based on min/max system, production schedule, and service demands.

Schedules where painted items need to be sent based on paint supplier capacity/lead time/planning/price.

Coordinates with staging team to make sure all items are picked for paint prior to leaving the facility and alerts appropriate members when items are short.

Maintains pick list file for shortages and follows up inside fabrication and outside suppliers.

Works closely with Procurement and Production Manager’s to control production plans and ensure order fulfillment for on-time-in-full delivery.

Provides daily administrative support to the operations team.

Communicates, plans, and controls outside process issues with QC Manager.

Coordinates changes in plans to meet changing demands or resolve production/service issues.

Tracks cost savings, vendor quality, delivery metrics and price effectiveness KPI’s on vendors.

Creates work instructions and supplies paint specifications to current and future vendors.

Monitors open WOs/POs with suppliers and assists accounting with invoicing issues/open accruals.
Requirements:

A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in production planning and/or supply chain management related role or in a field where job knowledge & skills are applicable based on education.

Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (Business or Supply Chain Management Degree preferred).

Ability to read Blueprints and prior experience in Quality Control.

Must be willing to work overtime as required and attend offsite meetings with suppliers.
