Purchasing Supervisor supervises daily procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, monitors performance, and expedites to respond to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Purchasing Supervisor collaborates with other functions to meet current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands. Additionally, Purchasing Supervisor performs auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Purchasing Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Purchasing Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position: Purchasing Administrator

About the Role: As a Purchasing Admin, you'll convert and approve all purchase order requisitions for the company. Ensuring processing and execution in conjunction with stakeholders throughout the company. Your diligent management of the requisition backlog and vendor coordination are vital to our success both in-house and in our satellite locations. The purchasing team takes a proactive approach to resolving supply chain issues that may delay production or inhibit customer service.
Additionally, the Purchasing Admin will manage the purchase order acknowledgement. They will communicate to vendors on PO Receipt, correct any discrepancies, and save all correspondence in necessary file locations. PO Acknowledgements are key in preventing downstream issues such as problem invoices & receiving issues. The Purchasing Admin will also be responsible for Vendor Managed Inventory PO’s.
