We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced Asian grocery wholesale distribution company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the Asian food industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of managing a successful purchasing department. As the Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of products and goods, maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company
• Monitor and analyze market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations, to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes
• Maintain accurate records and reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory levels
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with company standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in the Asian food industry or related wholesale distribution industry
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software systems
• Able to speak and write in Chinese
