Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility. Directs quality assurance and compliance functions.     Palco is seeking a QA tester to join our growing team. This is a work-from-home remote position. The QA tester is accountable for certifying that software releases meet specifications, do not contain defects, and are ready for end users. The QA tester is a subject matter expert in their assigned areas, is knowledgeable of relevant business logic, and has strong analytical and technical skills.

    Essential Functions

    • Create test plans with scenarios and test steps for new features and execute test plans efficiently.
    • Work with software developers and product managers to resolve potential design or requirement issues identified during test plan creation and execution
    • Regression test software releases before a general release is deployed to production
    • Document detailed defect reports for issues uncovered during testing
    • Work with software developers to resolve issues uncovered during testing or reported by end users
    • Document relevant QA processes

    Education and Experience

    • Associate’s degree or certification(s) in an IT discipline or equivalent experience
    • 5 years’ experience working in a software QA testing role, preferably in healthcare
    • Experience in Agile frameworks
    • Experience creating and maintaining automated UI tests is preferred

    Skills

    • SQL and relational databases
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Critical thinking, such as analyzing data and/or interpreting rules,
      drawing logical conclusions, and applying smart solutions to unique situations
