About the Job
The Quality Assurance Technician role at Basalite is pivotal in ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished concrete products, adhering to specified standards and regulations. Responsibilities include testing incoming raw materials such as sands, aggregates, pigments, and cement, as well as finished concrete products, and reporting any deviations to the QA Supervisor. Routine inspections of production departments and finished products are conducted, and new production employees are trained in quality-related Standard Operating Procedures. Accurate documentation of concrete test results, management of inventory, and maintaining clean workstations are essential duties. Compliance with safety regulations, including attendance at safety meetings and reporting of hazardous conditions, is paramount. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading comprehension skills, knowledge of concrete products and testing, and proficiency in using concrete testing equipment and machines. Strong communication skills, including fluency in Spanish, and experience or training in laboratory testing techniques are advantageous.
