This will be a direct hire to our client and will support customers within the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Community (IC).
Our client is looking for a Test Engineer who has passion for driving high quality product experiences. You will work closely with the design and engineering team to develop and execute test activities that ensure the best possible user experience across their array of products. You will design, develop, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests. You will introduce and maintain automation frameworks that can be used by Development and QA. The ideal candidate will understand web application technology and UX patterns and be able to design test strategies that ensure our client is meeting and exceeding the expectations of their users.
Job Duties may include, but not limited to:
Design and develop test automation scripts.
Maintain and improve automation frameworks that can be used by both development and QA
Perform automated and manual testing of our products
Create test case suites, lead bug bashes, and execute test passes for new features
Help define, improve, and implement QA standard methodologies
Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions
Proactively keep up with industry best practices.
Requirements
Must be a US Citizen
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
3 years experience working in a modern software testing environment
Demonstrated ability to draft test strategies, test plans, and test cases
Ability to perform automated and manual testing
Experience with UI automation frameworks (such as Selenium, Cypress, EarlGrey, Cucumber, Appium, etc.)
Efficient in effort estimation, planning, prioritization, and time management
Experience testing complex web applications
Maintain a high-quality bar by constantly improving existing QA practices
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
Able to think and act both strategically and tactically to deal with ambiguity and manage changing priorities
Desired Qualifications:
ISTQB Software Testing Certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
Experience in complete software development life cycle (SDLC)
