Mission Support has an immediate need for a Qualified Aerospace QualityAssurance Inspector located in Clearfield, UT. This is your opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive wages and benefits.
The right person will possess a strong skill set with 3D CAD inspection programs such as PolyWorks, Mastercam/Verisurf, NX/Unigraphics, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD or Solidworks. Must have a solid knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T, as well as a high proficiency of MS Excel, and a strong attention to detail. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the candidate must be able to utilize mechanical inspection tools. Strong reading and writing documentation skills are required.
Knowledge and experience with the following are required:
· CAD/CAM inspection and reverse engineering programs, such as Polyworks, Verisurf, NX, and/or Solidworks.
· Inspection of close tolerance parts using mechanical inspection tools
· Must be able to learn inspection of complex parts using 3D measurement tools (Faro Arms, Laser Scanners, Laser Trackers, Optical Comparator and/or a CMM)
· Knowledge of engineering drawings
· Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
· MS Office (particularly Excel and MS Word)
Duties to include the following:
· QA inspection of complex aerospace parts and assemblies using existing CAD models, engineering drawings, and other mechanical tools such as Optical Comparators, micrometers, height gages and hardness testers.
· Validation and proofing of CAD models that have been created and creating accurate reports from such validations.
· Creation of receiving, in-process and final inspection reports using MS Office software.
· Calibration of tooling and inspection tools per ISO 10012 and ISO 17025.
· Periodic reviews of documentation for revision status and legibility.
Qualifications
BSME, ASQ CQE, or trade school certification in CAD design and/or engineering is preferred.
Experience in Aerospace QA inspection in an AS9100 QMS is preferred.
Experience with Polyworks is a plus.
