MK Services is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager to our growing company! MK Services is a leader in the Aerospace, Defense, and Medical Industries here in the Middleton, MA area!
As a Quality Assurance Manager in our CNC Machine Shop, you play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards for the precision-machined parts produced. Your expertise ensures that the products meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implementing Quality Control Systems:
- Establish and maintain robust quality control systems within the CNC machining process.
- Develop and document quality procedures, inspection plans, and guidelines.
- Conduct inspections at various stages of production to verify compliance with specifications.
Leading Quality Assurance Procedures:
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Identify any quality issues promptly and collaborate with relevant teams to address them effectively.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 machining practices.
Managing Quality Control Personnel:
- Lead and supervise a team of quality control professionals.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, and fabrication teams.
- Coordinate design, development, and proofing of production tooling.
- Address corrective actions and contribute to process improvements.
Inspection and Reporting:
- Perform incoming, first piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts.
- Generate inspection reports, maintain records, and track quality metrics.
- Resolve quality issues and discrepancies promptly.
Quality Documentation and Compliance:
- Support continued compliance with ISO 9001:2000 guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation, including procedures, reports, and plans.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality-related challenges.
Safety and Continuous Learning:
- Promote workplace safety awareness and maintain an injury-free work environment.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, quality standards, and machining advancements.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in a CNC machining environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
