Quality Assurance Manager

Location – Kingstree, SC

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for Quality Assurance Office personnel and managing the Quality Assurance Release function; to ensure that products are in compliance with specifications; meet the company’s quality and integrity standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage the review and release of product ensuring adherence to defined specifications
• Aid in determining effective corrective action with deviation investigations. 
• Ensure controlled specification system for product contact packaging, raw materials, intermediates, and finished product is maintained.
• Conduct internal audits, as specified in the Internal Compliance Program requirements. 
• Conduct and report food safety inspections throughout the plant, keeping trend data to assess program effectiveness.
• Conduct MOCK recall/track and trace exercises.
• Manage the Kosher / Halal and HACCP program.

You bring

• BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related science.
• 7 – 10 years of Quality Assurance or equivalent Technically based Experience
• 3 years of Quality Leadership/Management or equivalent Technically based Experience
• Knowledge of FDA good manufacturing practices (GMP) 21 CFR Part 117, FSSC 22000, FEMAS, and FAMI-QS.
• Ability to understand a complex biological and chemical manufacturing process
• HACCP, PCQI and Auditing certification is desired
