Position Summary: The Quality Assurance & Compliance Program Manager is a full-time, exempt, 40-hour week average position with primary work hours being Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This position may have occasional evening and weekend hours due to being part of the on-call rotation. Position may be required to travel to and attend any national lifeline conferences. This position will report directly to the Clinical Director.
Job Duties: The primary responsibilities for this position include the management, coordination, and implementation of a formal quality improvement program across the organization’s clinical programs.
Position Expectations- Completion of in-house Crisis Counselor Training within 3 months of hire date;
- Completion of iCarol training;
- Completion of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Maintain positive relationships internally and externally as a representative of Headquarters Kansas;
- Ability to promote healthy relationships and boundaries in an ethical and kind demeanor;
- Reliable transportation;
- Must be able to pass State and Federal criminal background checks.
Essential Job Duties- Manages, coordinates, and implements a formal quality improvement plan across the agency’s clinical programs (988 call/chat/text, Teenline, local crisis line);
- Manages all internal QA activities and ensures adherence to all funder and agency QA goals; ensuring deliverables are met
- Ensures all QA/Outcome reports for external funders/stakeholders (KDADS, SAMHSA, Vibrant) are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with grant requirements;
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports on performance, and develop strategies for improvement;
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with grants and program implementation;
- Conducts documentation and call monitoring for quality improvement, utilizing evidence-based quality improvement measures for 988
- Assess counselor’s adherence to service delivery and clinical standards
- Identifies areas of training and support needed for individual counselors and the department at large;
- Works in collaboration with the training team, supervisory staff, and Human Resources to develop performance improvement plans
- Participate in weekly program meetings by preparing reports and identifying contacts in need of clinical review
- Maintains detailed records on quality improvement scores for all counselors and lines of service/ programs
- Assists in review of incident reports on a regular basis for quality and accuracy
- In collaboration with clinical and administrative staff, conducts analysis and investigation of complaints and grievances relating to all services and programs
- Engages in on-going training activities, within the organization or facilitated by Vibrant, intended to promote professional development and reduce burnout
- Actively participates in supervision by identifying and communicating personal and organizational strengths, needs, challenges, and solutions
- Promotes healthy relationships & boundaries, ethical practice, and a kind demeanor in the workplace and as a representative of the organization in public
- Completes other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:- Master’s Degree in a human service-related field (e.g. social work, psychology, applied behavioral science, sociology, etc.).;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively;
- Effective time management and organizational skills;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite;
- Quality written and verbal communication skills for the purpose of documentation and effective communication with colleagues.
Preferred Education and Experience:- Experience working at a crisis center;
- Two years of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to quality assurance and program management;
- Effective strategies for managing compassion fatigue and symptoms of burnout in self and others.
