Virginia MetalFab is looking for motivated and energetic individuals to fill our newly opened Quality Control Inspector role.

WHO YOU ARE IN THIS ROLE

As a  Quality Control Inspector, you will be a part of an AWESOME shop team. Your core mission will be taking responsibility for insuring that all manufactured products meet or exceed VMF predetermined quality standards during each step in the process.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Inspect machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments and complex inspection equipment to verify tolerances.
• Ensure jobs are being completed in a timely manner to keep production on schedule.
• Identify areas and way to improve quality controls.
• Report issues and inconsistencies to management.
• Prepare products for shipment.

Education

• HS diploma or GED.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read blueprints or drawings.
• Understand welding symbols and appearances.

Experience

• Minimum experience of one year at StallWorks LLC/Virginia MetalFab or two years in sheet metal industry with any company.  

Computer Skills

• MS Suite, basic computer skills.

Certifications & Licenses

• Forklift certification; trainer certification a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to wear various forms of PPE.
• Ability to lift/carry up to and including 51-100 lb.
• Ability to push/pull up to and including 41-100 lb.
