Additionally, Quality Control Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     The Field Quality Control Supervisor will ensure that customers continuously are satisfied with their customer service experience, service completed, parts and service recommended, and all plumbing work completed exhibits exceptional craftsmanship. Quality Control will handle all customer complaints, call backs, bad reviews, and proactively guarantee exceptional craftmanship by coaching and monitoring all plumbing work.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensures quality control & safety enforcement meets company and client expectations.
    • Working knowledge of scope and ability to work independently once given direction.
    • Possess the required skill set to self-perform plumbing-related service and repair tasks as necessary for each job , Troubleshooting and diagnosing all plumbing-related issues, Drain cleaning and repair, Leak detection, Camera inspection, Water service repairs, to include all types of pipe, Waste repairs, Water heater installations, Tankless repair and trouble shooting, Fixture service and replacement, Gas line service and repair
    • Any tasks related to the successful completion of plumbing repairs
    • Help manage truck fleet
    • Daily communication with General Manager and Dispatch manager
    • Manage and coordinate all field callbacks from start to finish ensuring all work and customer experience was done according to company standards
    • Manage customer complaints and provide them with appropriate solutions.
    • Review all invoices & open jobs ensuring customers' estimates and invoices are correct
    • Develop and implement call back prevention measures
    • Monitor all call backs and recall any parts that may be defective
    • Monitor and analyze metrics and customer feedback to measure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Manage all bad reviews regarding customer experience and turn any negative experience into a good one
    • Develop and maintain relationships with technicians and helpers.
    • Maintain current database with information tracking any customer complaints, and bad reviews.
    • Train, develop and hold your team accountable to exceptional customer satisfaction and performance standards and address any staff performance issues in a timely manner
    • Provide technical assistance and sales performance support to Technicians to ensure high-quality of service to customers via site visits and coaching calls
    • Identify field technical training needs and coordinate the support programs necessary
    • Ensure all Technicians have the necessary tools, equipment, and manpower to maximize their potential to provide the highest quality service to our customers as possible
    • Partner with the dispatch department to ensure customer complaints, warranty, and callbacks are taken care of within an hour of coming in.
    • Provide regular, timely, and accurate status reports to Executive Management regarding employees failing to perform exceptional customer service and how we can improve it. as required.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • High School degree or equivalent
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Responsible for maintaining company vehicle in clean condition, coordinating all preventative maintenance and repairs, and report any maintenance or wear concerns.
    • Maintains all tools to safely perform the required scope of work.
    • Minimum 4 years of plumbing service & repair experience.
    • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and/or more tenured co-workers.

    Physical & Other Requirements

    • Physical: The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, climb stairs, use hands and arms, talk or hear, drive a vehicle, and use basic office electronics (computer, telephone).
    • Mental: critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, follow-up, social awareness, mathematics, reading, writing, organizational, timeliness, stress tolerance, communication (oral and written).
    • 100% of the job involves self-performance work to be completed independently or within a team environment.
    • Daily vehicle travel within the local geographic service area.
