Quality Engineer
Responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring that the products and services supplied meet customer and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for communicating customer requirements and expectations throughout the organization and developing systems to meet them
- Responsible for establishing and/or updating quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP preparation, audit WI and any other customer requirements
- Implementation of SPC where effective to achieve ongoing quality improvements
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations for improvement.
- Works with new/existing suppliers toward implementation of controls to meet requirements as stated in the XALT Energy's Supplier Requirements manual.
- Reviews supplier conformance with APQP requirements (FMEA’s, Process Control Plans, Traceability, Process Capability Runs, MSA, PPAP content). Assists suppliers in establishing and improving these processes.
- Evaluates own work processes and initiates practices to promote continuous improvement
- Works independently and overcomes obstacles to achieve results.
- Ability to travel, domestic and international.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in ISO-9001 and Six Sigma concepts.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with automotive quality system requirements.
- Strong background in quality systems and parts manufacture/assembly.
- Proficiency in MS Office software and experience with document control, process control, SPC software (Minitab).
- Knowledge of basic electrical principles required; knowledge of LI-Ion cell/battery technology preferred.

About Acme, Michigan
Acme Township is a civil township of Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 4,375, slightly up from 4,332 at the 2000 census.
