OnsiteCollins Aerospace is seeking a Manager, Program Quality responsible for customer quality of all military Landing Systems produced within the Military Landing Gear value stream business. You will be responsible for customer conformity and customer satisfaction in support of the value stream team. You will also oversee customer compliance with customer contracts, regulatory requirements, and the Collins Quality Management System. In addition, you will be responsible for leading change and collaboration within the quality team and other functional organizations within Military Landing Gear value stream business.
LOCATION: Onsite - (Haltom City, TX)
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols for materials being processed into finished products
Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts
Ensure that the quality of Collins suppliers, products, and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving
Identify and manage risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans)
Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive implementation
Perform escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective action for design problems for internally produced products and processes
Ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and PPAP acceptance
Design and implement product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers
Perform independent reviews and assessments of program performance, including independent technical assessments of systems engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), lessons learned, industry best practices, technology, and production
Responsible for continuously reviewing quality strategy, practice, and procedure to ensure the customer requirements are met
Establish customer relations and communications processes
Set objectives and guide team on the achievement of short-term and long-term goals
Manage the implementation of Program Quality operational plans and procedures
Manage implementation of projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving
Manage quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes in the customer programs
Develop and manage plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Landing System quality targets
Drive employee engagement culture of respect, empowerment, communication, and teamwork
Develop potential successors in the talent pipeline and champion talent developments to ensure team stability and business continuity
Provides cross-functional Quality technical expertise, and prepare and present departmental metrics
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
Minimum 5 years of experience working with Aerospace and Military/Defense customers representing Quality
Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
Proven leadership ability in driving timely resolution of quality concerns, requiring minimal supervision
Superior communication skills and command of the English language, with an aptitude for conveying complex technical information to a wide variety of audiences
Demonstrated analytical skills and project management experience
Ability to influence and gain buy-in in order to drive on-time implementation of initiatives
Strong ability to make quality decisions while remaining customer focused
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other equivalent
Experience in AS9145 APQP and PPAP is preferred
ASQ CQE certification, preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt/Red X is preferred
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and SAP programs
Experience working with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment
Knowledge of Defense/Military Programs, DCMA &/or Governmental regulatory requirements (Military background would be a plus)

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
