Under general direction of the Director of Radiation Oncology", the Medical Physicist applies knowledge and methodology of science of physics to all aspects of medicine to address issues related to diagnosis and treatment of human disease. Advises and consults with physicians in such applications as use of ionizing radiation, therapy, treatment planning with externally delivered radiation, as well as use of internally implanted radioactive sources.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree - Medical Physics. Or

• Ph.D. Medical Physics.

• Upon hire: National Medical Physics - Therapeutic Certification - American Board of Radiology

• Upon hire: On State of California Accelerator Acceptance testing and safety survey list

• 3 years Medical Physics.

• Varian Trilogy accelerator, Eclipse treatment planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SRS," LDR and HDR.
