Radiation Technician jobs in Aiken, SC
Radiation Technician collects, tests and analyzes materials of nuclear powered electric generating plant. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Radiation Technician has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Radiation Technician works under immediate supervision. Low Voltage Cable Technician Responsibilities :
- Pull, terminate, dress and label CAT5 / 6 cable
- Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Install and terminate racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF / IDF, workstation outlets, firestopping etc.
- Work from all size ladders and varied lifts (must be comfortable with heights)
- Read and interpret general system layouts from blueprints
Low Voltage Cable Technician Requirements :
- 2 years commercial and / or industrial low voltage experience
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA Certifications are a PLUS
- Pass Criminal Background and Drug Screen
- Valid Drivers License
- Reliable Transportation
- Basic hand tools and PPE gear (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, steel-toe boots)
- Working knowledge of telecom & data networks
