Radiologic Technologist performs radiological imaging examinations of patients using both stationary and mobile radiographic equipment. Positions patient as needed to obtain optimal images and prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Being a Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film, ensures proper film identification on all images, and creates x-ray CD copies. Files films, maintains medical records, and performs other related administrative duties. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Radiologic Technologist works under moderate supervision. Mercy Ortho Clinic is seeking a full-time (36 hours a week) Radiology Technologist to join our team.
Overview:
Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Assume responsibility for procedures performed. Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent.
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. If practicing in Arkansas, a Radiologic Technologist License is required.
Experience: None
Certification/Registration: ARRT registry or registry eligible. Achieved registry within 6 months of hire or within 1 year in Arkansas.
