SUMMARY
The Maintenance II position performs a range of routine unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled maintenance and repair work of structures and related facilities, in support of the operations on and around the assigned area of responsibility. This position is eligible for overtime pay.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 1 to 3 years maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position, and a valid Florida drivers license in good standing.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, lift, climb, sit, stoop, kneel, balance or crouch. The employee may be required to work in or inspect confined spaces for prolonged periods of time, work on slippery or uneven surfaces, operate motorized equipment or vehicles and operate office equipment such as phones, copy machines, faxes, etc.
The employee will be required to use hands and fingers and reach within arms length and will occasionally taste and smell. The employee is required to lift up to 10 pounds extensively, 25-50 pounds regularly and over 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee will be required to travel occasionally for training purposes or as assigned to other agency locations to provide assistance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work may be performed in an indoor or outdoor environment, subject to traveling from site to site with exposure to moving mechanical parts, temperature changes, noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, chemicals, unpleasant odors, inclement weather and/or loud noises. The work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following safety precautions and may include the use of personal protective equipment.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
