  • Allergy and Asthma Specialists of Kansas City has an opening for a full-time Front Office Associate** to join its growing practice in the Kansas City, Missouri Northland. A patient-first practice dedicated to providing knowledge-based care and responsive patient services, the successful new team member will demonstrate:

    · Patient satisfaction as a top priority by listening to connect with empathy, compassion and care.

    · A desire to pursue up-to-date knowledge of best practices and openly sharing with the team.

    · A commitment to serve patients, their families, the community and workplace colleagues with a positive, professional demeanor.

    Job Duties:

    · Set a welcoming atmosphere by greeting patients and guests with a smile and in a cheerful, courteous manner.

    · Maintain a “how can I help” attitude at all times.

    · Check patients in and out of the clinic; verify personal and insurance information; collect and record payments; answer patient questions and address concerns.

    · Schedule appointments.

    · Promptly answer phones and respond to caller’s needs.

    · Maintain schedule clinic and minimize patient wait time by notifying medical staff of patient’s arrival. Notify patient of service delays when necessary.

    · Exercise empathy and compassion to comfort anxious patients.

    · Monitor waiting area for cleanliness.

    · Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information.

    · Follow policies and procedures, suggesting improvements as needed.

    · Actively participate in staff meetings and team culture.

    Qualifications/Skills

    · Ability to multi-task, handle high volume scheduling and maintain composure under stress

    · Team spirit to switch tasks and support colleagues when needed

    · Attention to detail and quality focus

    · Previous medical office and front desk experience preferred

    · Basic computer skills required

    · Knowledge of EMR system; NextGen experience a plus

    · High school diploma required
