DBC Real Estate Management, LLC is a property management firm that acquires, owns and operates multifamily apartment complexes. At DBC, we aspire to Do Best in Class property management to support workforce housing. Our company has approximately eighty employees across four states and has growth aspirations to reach one hundred in the next two years. The ability to work collaboratively with finance and operations is a requirement for the newly hired individual and thus, must be accustomed to an agile and adaptable work environment.
Hours of operation: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 40 hours a week. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare/analyze monthly operating statements and identify budget variances.
- Provide quarterly/monthly financial summaries to the executive committee.
- Prepare/analyze various rental software reports for 5,000 unit portfolio, including rent rolls, credit detail, balance due, etc.
- Assist with accounts payable functions regarding processing and coding invoices.
- Support payment processes for development projects
- Analyze property-level accounting entries in rental software tenant ledger accounts, providing general oversight and necessary adjustments to property manager financial related activity.
- Assist in the month end process of closing the accounting period.
- Cross-reference weekly financial reports, provided by property managers, with rental software actuals.
- Leverage rental software to create insightful ad-hoc reports to assist in management decision-making.
- Collect, calculate, and verify incentive based compensation inputs for property-level staff.
- Accurately integrate property data into rental software from new acquisitions.
- Utilize rental software to compile development expenditures for lender requests.
- Collaborate with the Finance/Accounting team to forecast and implement future year budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in accounting or a related field.
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products with above average excel skills.
- Great interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational mindset as well as attention to detail required.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidential information.
