Records Supervisor supervises a team working in the company records department and information management programs. Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Supervisor evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Provides training and guidance to end users. Additionally, Records Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Records Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma.
• Strong written and verbal skills in English necessary for business.
• Administrative and organizational ability.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing home health care setting.
• Prior health record experience preferred.
• Basic computer experience preferred.

• Thins charts and maintains overflow files as required.
• Records and maintains minutes of meetings as assigned.
• Inputs and prints computerized medical records forms.
• Prepares statistical reports as required.
• Destroys old health records as required.
• Assembles, analyzes and completes discharge records.
• Maintains unit filing system.
CONSUMER SERVICE
• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
