Recreational Therapy Director directs the programs and staff of the recreational therapy department including policies and procedures. Sets and implements guidelines for recreational therapy programs. Being a Recreational Therapy Director conducts patient programs in areas of social interaction, theater, games, crafts, and music. Communicates the results of patient care to other health services. Additionally, Recreational Therapy Director may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require professional certification. The Recreational Therapy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport of gymnastics, thrive on helping young gymnasts achieve their goals, have compulsory & optional coaching experience with a competitive mind.
Duties to include
· Coach recreational/preschool classes
· Bi-Annual Recital Planning
· Hire, Train & Manage Coaching Staff
· Lesson planning
· Set program goals for class enrollment & coaching accomplishments
· Promoting via social media & monthly newsletters.
· Other Administration (Scheduling, Rotations, Class Handbook, etc.)

This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week. Must be available weekdays starting at 4pm and weekends, daytime also possible during summer months. Hourly pay is based on experience $17 /hr. plus benefits. Salaried possible for right candidate.
