The Recruitment Manager ensures recruiting processes align with current and future workforce needs. Implements and manages recruitment processes and employment programs. Recruiting:
• Communicate with other teams on campus and engage in campus-wide recruiting efforts at college fairs, in call campaigns, etc. in coordination with the University of Arizona's office of Enrollment.
• Supports the Planning and implementation of recruitment activities and strategies to cultivate and recruit prospective applicants for the iSchool's five undergraduate degree programs.
• Organizes and participates in communications and marketing to promote the iSchool and the institution to local high schools and other prospective students.
• Counsels and advises prospective iSchool students and parents on educational planning, financial aid, enrollment services and admissions process in order that they enroll in iSchool programs.
• Manage applicant pool, utilizing campus administrative software and ongoing strategic communication, including in‐person appointments, phone calls, direct mail, email, and social media, all in an effort to encourage an application for admission and ultimately enrollment into iSchool programs.
• Reviews and evaluates admissions applications.
• Serves as a liaison and primary contact between applicants and the iSchool as well as the broader institution.
• Conducts information sessions and orientations for prospective and admitted students.
• Travels both locally and out of state to target high schools in assigned region as well as other groups, managing the iSchool presence at faires, browse tables etc. in order to provide information and presentations to students and parents. Involves, periodic travel throughout year, and occasional evening and weekend work for recruiting purposes.
*Continually stay informed of national trends in recruiting and career paths/job markets, especially in the areas of data science, information science, and human-centered computing (e.g., VR/AR, Game Dev.).
• Coordinate with alumni and employers and develop a mentor’s network for prospective and current students.
• Develop best practices/materials/tool-kit for the iSchool in the areas of undergraduate and transfer student recruitment and outreach.
• Research, develop and maintain initiatives to promote the iSchool's programming to high school students, community colleges, and the community.
• Supervise/Manage the iSchool's Student Ambassadors program, including call for applications, scheduling/assignments, workload, training, meetings, etc.
• Coordinate with Advisors to develop double major plans of study and promote and recruit students into those plans.
* Support the iSchool in developing articulation agreements with community colleges.
• Recommend and evaluate potential new degree programs based on market demands and interest.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Leadership and Management:
Oversees, mentors, engages in performance reviews and other kinds of support for lower-level staff, adhering to all supervisory policies and procedures.
Leads and manages all undergraduate recruiting and enrollment processes for the School.
Approves timesheets as needed.
Data Analysis and Systems:
• Makes data-driven decisions about best approaches for recruiting a diverse studnet body into Information Science and related STEM fields.
• Utilizes systems and data analysis techniques effectively in order to produce data for the iSchool's senior leadership team.
