Job Description
HHCMG Referral Coordinator is responsible for new patient referrals being sent to the Digestive Health Center internally and externally. Patients will be contacted and scheduled according to their location preferences and digestive health needs. Schedules will be reviewed daily to review for openings to get patients from the waiting list or reschedule list scheduled sooner in order to ensure providers have a full schedule. Each referral will be reviewed for completeness, ensure the referral meets the Digestive Health Center guidelines for an appointment. Coordinator must properly communicate with front desk staff, providers, and managers in each office. Referral coordinators frequently interact with patients, doctors, and insurance companies. Coordinator will be expected to have experience with customer service tasks and the ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality, manage multiple schedules, and ensure that patient information is complete and up to date. Referral coordinator will be expected to complete prior authorizations when required by insurance companies.
