    Essential Duties & Job Functions:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Ensure a safe work environment.
    • Participate in CCI's Safety Step-Back program and by staying up to date with the online training modules in Virtual Training Assistant (EHS). Review and comply with the various Client's safety programs.
    • Your responsibility includes representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.
    • Properly fit up steel components to be welded.
    • Cuts, bevels, threads, and bends pipe using cutting torches, saws, threading machines and pipe cutting machines.
    • Determine pipe sizes and schedules, Flange schedules and ratings.
    • Prepares weld surface as necessary.
    • Perform STOP Audits and observations.
    • Attend all required training classes.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use PPE.
    • Knowledge of use of Blue Book
    • Ability to cut and cope for structural/piping.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations with management and other employees in the organization.
    • Able to work at heights.
    • Ability to read Isometrics and basic blueprints.
    • Ability to be highly safety conscious.
    • Ability to travel to remote areas/platforms/client facilities.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to welding fumes and grinding dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be needed to work at heights. Travel to remote areas, platforms, or client facilities should be expected. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

    Contingencies:
    Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment HAIR FOLLICLE drug test, and a client required 7-year background check to be able to enter refinery.

    Requirements:Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED is required.
    • 4 years of experience in fitting is required.
    • An OSHA-10 or 24-hour Hazwoper (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) training card is required.
    • Ability to pass a 7-year background check and hair follicle pre-employment and random testing.
    • A valid drivers license is required.

A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard.     • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
    • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
    • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner.
    • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
    • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation).
