Regional Claims Manager manages the operations of an insurance claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements. Oversees the intake and processing of insurance claims for personal, property, or casualty loss based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage. Being a Regional Claims Manager manages appraisal and examination staff and processes. Assures timely and proper disposition of claims based on policy provisions. Additionally, Regional Claims Manager recommends and implements best practices to ensure complete and thorough claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations following company policies and insurance industry regulations. The Person Centered Practices Manager will be responsible for the integration of person centered practices into all activities at Harbor. The Person Centered Practices Manager will establish and provide leadership for a community of practice to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This position will also be responsible for leading the agency to build capacity for person centered practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Serve as liaison, between Harbor and the Learning Community for Person Centered Practices and Department of Developmental Services for further enhancement and development of best practices to be implemented at Harbor.
2. Maintain partnerships with other key agencies, PCT Trainers and Mentors to foster Person Centered Practices at Harbor and within the community.
3. Plan, lead, organize, and develop initiatives related to PCT in relation to Harbor’s strategic plan, including but not limited to a community of practice.
4. Develop infrastructure, create resources and provide oversight for integrating person centered practice into Harbor’s culture.
5. Collaborate with Harbor’s internal PCT trainers to develop and schedule both internal and external PCT trainings.
6. Develop, analyze, and maintain systems to track and evaluate the effectiveness of Harbor’s person centered initiatives, including but not limited to PCT training programs, PCT surveys.
7. Develop and implement annual training plan for Harbor employees and stakeholder partners with a focus on Person Centered Practices aligned to support Harbor’s Vison and Mission, Harbor’s Strategic Plan and Performance Contract.
8. Deliver PCT training to Harbor staff and the community.
9. Develop and maintain PCT Practices content as needed for Harbor’s internet and intranet.
10. Maintain the agency wide Training Calendar with current information on upcoming PCT trainings.
11. Collaborate with Harbor stakeholders, partners, including Family Resource Centers, schools, and service providers to make best practice PCT information available to Harbor staff, service providers, persons/families served by Harbor.
12. Work alongside other departments to coordinate Harbor’s strategic objectives to build capacity for person centered practices.
13. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
