Position Overview:
Cincinnati Eastern Railroad (CCET) is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Customer Service and Accounting specialist to join our team in Hamden, Ohio. This full-time position encompasses a range of responsibilities including customer service, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing rail car operations using the WABTECH/RMI system. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient administrative operations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and provide accurate information.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process and manage all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Ensure timely billing and collection of payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports on financial status.
• Handle invoice processing, including verification and reconciliation of accounts.
• Rail Car Management:
• Utilize the WABTECH/RMI system to manage rail car logistics.
• Track and coordinate the movement of rail cars according to operational needs.
• Ensure accurate data entry and management of rail car information within the system.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize rail car utilization and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an administrative role with responsibilities for customer service, and financial processing.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Experience with rail car management systems, specifically WABTECH/RMI, is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma required; further education or certification in business administration, finance, or relevant field preferred.

Work Conditions:

• Office-based role located in Hamden, Ohio.
• Standard working hours with occasional requirements to work beyond these hours as needed.
