Regional Operations Director plans and directs an organization's operational policies, objectives, and initiatives for a divisional or regional business segment. Develops strategies and deploys tactics to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals. Being a Regional Operations Director executes organizational strategies. Implements operational processes to meet the needs of the business, produce sustainable growth, and minimize risk. Additionally, Regional Operations Director ensures compliance with standards and regulations. Monitors financial and operational metrics to measure achievement of organizational objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Operations Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Responsibilities
Directs and administers all work related to the physical plant and ancillary systems, Engineering, Grounds, EVS, Security, and Safety. Manages construction/remodeling projects upon direction from organizational leadership. The Director acts as liaison between Medical Center and other contracted personnel/vendors performing Facilities related work. The Director presents a positive image of the hospital to patients, visitors, physicians and the public.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material and safety management experience required. Management experience necessary.
- A minimum of 3 years hospital experience in Plant Operations preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital associated codes.
- Experience in management/supervision of all Facilities related departments (EVS, Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc).
- Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
- Valid state drivers license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in Engineering field preferred.
