Regulatory Compliance Engineer

Position Summary

Orange EV is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Associate within our Program Management Office to research, analyze, and lead the compliance efforts for on-road and off-road vehicles.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth reviews of federal, state, and other applicable laws and regulations and provide interpretations of those laws and regulations including Canada
• Communicates changes and updates to laws and regulations pertaining to existing and future products
• Collaborate with numerous internal teams including Legal, Business Development, Design Engineering, Process Engineering, and Validation and Quality during product development to assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Collaborate closely with Program Chiefs and Legal Department to ensure Orange EV products comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Develop internal knowledge bank of laws and regulations pertaining to Class 8 trucks and other vehicle types
• Organize and manage tasks specific to regulatory compliance through Jira Software
• Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated ability to understand technical materials and communicate to non-technical audiences effectively
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to various audiences
• High level of organization managing multiple tasks of various sizes on different schedules with ever-changing levels of priority
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and plan ahead; proactive work ethic
• Conduct daily activities with integrity and professionalism
• Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, and Teams

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

• Experience and knowledge in interpreting FMVSS, FMCSA, and other automotive and transportation regulations including similar regulations in Canada
• Basic knowledge of Jira Software
