Rehabilitation Director jobs in Ann Arbor, MI
Rehabilitation Director directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department. Sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other therapies. Being a Rehabilitation Director develops and implements policies and procedures pertaining to staffing and the budget for the department. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director monitors treatment and progress of patients. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Rehabilitation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Rehabilitation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Director of Rehabilitation to join our dynamic team!
DESCRIPTION:
- The primary role of the rehabilitation program director is to work with the medical director, interdisciplinary management/staff and vice president of rehabilitation and occupational health services to maintain program excellence and accreditation through the development of a viable interdisciplinary team/partnership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to demonstrate, and provide examples of, continuous personal development and improvement in each of the essential functions listed in the section below
- Familiarity with budgeting principles
- Ability to build and lead cohesive, successful team(s)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and
- Exemplary customer service skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years management experience in an allied health field, with rehabilitation center experience preferred
- Minimum of five years practical, clinical experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Licensed in discipline or willing to obtain in state applying
BLS
Education: Must possess a degree in therapy from an accredited school
