Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     Job Summary:

    The Director of Nursing (DON) is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing operations within the agency. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

    The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Leadership and Administration:
    • Provide strategic leadership for the nursing team, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations and industry best practices.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality assurance.
    • Patient Care Management:
    • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers to create individualized care plans for patients.
    • Monitor and ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate care.
    • Staff Management and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and home health aides.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
    • Facilitate ongoing professional development and training programs.
    • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
    • Stay informed about changes in healthcare laws and regulations, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
    • Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
    • Quality Assurance and Improvement:
    • Establish and monitor quality indicators to assess and improve the overall quality of care.
    • Implement quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis and feedback.
    • Address and resolve any identified issues promptly.
    • Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop care plans.
    • Budget Management:
    • Assist in developing and managing the nursing department budget.
    • Monitor and control expenditures to ensure financial goals are met.
    • Communication:
    • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    • Address and resolve any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

    Qualifications:

    • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred, but not required.
    • Proven experience in a leadership role within home healthcare.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in Las Vegas.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and implement quality improvement initiatives.
    • Effective organizational and time-management skills.

    Pay: $94,990.05 - $114,396.63 per year
