Reinsurance Specialist jobs in South Carolina
Reinsurance Specialist performs routine reinsurance administrative duties, such as maintaining records, processing and verifying new business. Organizes the preparation of monthly and annual reports and ensures reinsurance information has been recorded accurately. Being a Reinsurance Specialist performs reconciliation of premium billing statements and DAC tax calculations and maintenance of various reinsurance operations. Researches and resolves the more complex cases and provides guidance to others. Additionally, Reinsurance Specialist may review work performed by others and train new staff. Works towards industry designations (e.g., FLMI, ARA, ACS, etc.). Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Reinsurance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We're looking for a candidate with at least one year of medical administrative experience in healthcare whose duties will include:
Verifying insurance benefits and working with insurance companies to obtain authorizations
Managing prescription requests and completing medication prior-authorizations
Communication with Financial Counselors and insurance carriers
All other administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Must be well organized, have excellent communication and customer service skills and have the ability to multitask and work well in a team environment. This is a full-time position of approximately 36 - 40 hours per week in our Daniel Island, SC office.
Coastal Fertility Specialists consists of five clinical and two administrative offices. We have over 100 employees including NP's, RN?s, 5 physicians, and a complete embryology team all driven to be the best Reproductive Endocrinology practice in the southeast. So far we have won 3 consecutive national patient satisfaction awards and have pregnancy rates in the top 10% of the country. We pride ourselves in employee satisfaction and have very low employee turnover.
