Eastern State Hospital is seeking a Religious Coordinator to manage spiritual services and programming for residents. You will be a part of a two-member, chaplain team that serves 367 patients in 13 patient care areas (wards).
The religious coordinator personally provides spiritual care to patients of diverse cultures and/or faith traditions. You will provide spiritual support consistent with the patient’s own spiritual/religious beliefs without promoting your own spiritual/religious attitudes, beliefs, or values. You will advocate for the patient and family members on issues that include patient rights and cultural and religious sensitivity of various cultures. In this role, you will be the spiritual/religious care specialist on the treatment team.
