JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Rental Manager-Sales & Operations is to maintain fleet utilization objective, generate and maintain all rental records.
S / He will establish proper rental fleet size to maximize return on investment through fleet pricing, utilization and cost containment measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and coordinate sales and marketing programs and strategies for maximum rental fleet revenue utilization and profitability, which should consist of 60% of each week’s time.
2. Develop annual plan to facilitate and sustain Rental Fleet growth.
3. Coordinate with shop manager on all repairs of rental fleet to include capturing damage, coordinating estimates and rebilling customers.
4. Establish criteria and develop recommendations for District Rental manager regarding fleet size and mix.
5. Dedication to ongoing Kenworth and Paclease training goals. Goal is 100%.
6. 100% insurance compliance, secondary responsibility for collection of rental accounts receivable, driver trip reports, rental inspections, damage management and all other administrative duties needed.
7. Provide coverage for dispatch and return of rental vehicles during rental office hours and coordinate after hour’s coverage with shop personnel.
8. Develop an annual business plan for the rental fleet and provide monthly updates on performance.
9. Obtain mileage from rental customers to complete weekly billing for all rental customers.
10. Work closely with all other departments in the Paclease operation.
11. This position may require night and weekend call outs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
High school diploma, college degree desirable or the equivalent.
Professional personal appearance is required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The Rental coordinator works both indoors and outdoors, primarily as a sales function. S / he must have transportation to perform sales calls in the market place.
S / he will also moving be about the dealership facility to communicate with the dealer managers, employees and customers.
Excellent communications skills required. This job requires you to climb in and out of trucks on a regular basis. S / he must bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and feel.
