Rental Technician, Sr. jobs in Palmer, AK

Rental Technician, Sr. removes, installs, diagnoses, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses and routine maintenance on rental equipment with some supervision and/or following established guidelines. Qualified on routine repairs, use of tools, and components with some supervision. Being a Rental Technician, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rental Technician, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.   • The Rental Technician is responsible for interfacing with customers both in-person and on the phone. The Rental Technician rents equipment to customers and employees. Also, performs waxing and general maintenance. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Portraying a positive company image and engaging in professional and friendly communications with customers and coworkers.
    • Actively listening to customer needs and inquiries to determine appropriate service actions.
    • Assisting coworkers and other employees as needed.
    • Referring any customer questions regarding products or services to the appropriate person.
    • Establishing and maintaining customer profiles and preparing claim forms.
    • Maintaining inventory and informing the supervisor of stocking needs.
    • Perform accurate company-required recordkeeping.
    • Prepare receipts and shipping documents.
    • Promotes and exemplifies a culture of exceptional guest service, teamwork, innovation, and fun! Works well independently and with others. Enjoys “pitching in” whenever and wherever assistance is needed. Conducts and shows a high level of professionalism. Values our safety culture, our community, and maintaining a healthy, sustainable environment. Ensures that guests and employees have a fun, safe, and memorable experience. Asks questions, shares concerns, or gives ideas on innovation and efficiencies that improve both the guests’ and employees’ experience.


    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be 16 years of age or older and have an approved work permit if under 18 years of age.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, if over 18 years of age.
    • If under the age of 18, reference letters are required in place of the background check.
    • Prior experience with the general public (customers) a plus; prior experience as a cashier a plus.
    • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
    • Basic Math
    • Excellent customer relationship skills
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
