Rental Technician, Sr. jobs in South Dakota

We are looking for a thorough Rental Property Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as checking/changing fire alarms, changing locks, repairing holes in walls, replacing doors, cleaning/replacing bathroom exhaust fans, light landscaping, Caulking, hauling left behind items, etc. This profession requires a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

• Survey units/building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are working property. Example: Faucets, Tubs, Electrical, Doors, Etc.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean bathroom exhaust fans, replace light switches)
• Assist in the event of a water occurrence. Cut out carpet padding, Dry out carpet, Set up fans/dehumidifiers.
• Change furnace filters, note any issues noticed while on site
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, repair windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide, setting up mouse traps/poison
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)

Skills

• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
