In this role, reporting to one of our Research Directors, you will be able to take pride in contributing directly to our organization’s growth and putting your own stamp on our thought leadership. 

A successful Research Analyst will have solid experience and knowledge in the autonomous plant, including: 

• Establishing business objectives and setting strategic initiatives in operations 
• Defining current and future operational architectures 

• Understanding the vendor landscape and driving solutions selection in: 

• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) 
• Asset Performance Management (APM) 
• Next-Gen Industrial Automation, including DCS, Batch, PLC, HMI/SCADA, AGVs, Co-Bots 
• Industrial Cyber-Security 

• Driving business case developing and ensuring successful change management. 

Primary Responsibilities  

• Establish the research agenda and key themes for your coverage areas.  
• Design surveys and maturity assessments to collect and analyze data from manufacturers and vendors.  
• Be a prolific content creator, publishing in our research library, blog, social media channels, and third-party partner sites. 
• Present thought-leadership and research at live events and webcasts.  
• Participate in leading industry associations.  
• Contribute to leading industry publications.  
• Provide ongoing advisory services to vendor and end-user clients.  
• Attend vendor events and conduct vendor briefings.  
• Set the agenda and prepare content for member events. 
• Generate new opportunities and drive positive member experiences that contribute to strong new ARR and renewal rates.

Education and Experience  

• 5 years of industry experience relevant to research coverage areas – ideally including a combination of industrial, technology, services, or consulting experience. 
• Deep understanding of and perspective on the analyst/research and advisory space highly preferred. 
• Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing space, such as operations leadership, is highly preferred. 
• Experience with calculating and justifying financial returns and sustainability impact of manufacturing projects is desired. 
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, with engineering discipline and Masters preferred.

This is a remote role. Some travel to customers and events in North America and Europe, as business needs require, approximately 25%. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
