Job Summary
The Department of Surgery in the College of Medicine is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Vascular Surgery Research Associate.
This position is designed for candidates who are interested in gaining research experience to enhance their scientific background in preparation for obtaining residency or fellowship program positions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in clinical research activities across a broad spectrum, including data warehouse requests, data processing and analysis, abstract and manuscript writing, under the mentorship of vascular surgery faculty members.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong interest in pursuing a career in surgery. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity and interest in learning data analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and statistical methods. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Prior experience in clinical research, abstract and manuscript writing, and data analysis is preferred but not required.
