Microbial Research, Inc. is seeking an efficient and attentive Laboratory Research Associate to join our dynamic microbiological research team.
Microbial Research Inc. was founded in 2003 in Fort Collins, CO and currently has a staff of 7 full-time employees who conduct microbiological testing for veterinary pharmaceutical companies throughout the world. We pride ourselves on being able to meet our customers’ needs and enjoy developing unique and study-specific procedures and techniques that follow rigorous internal standards of quality.

Staff members subscribe to various consulting groups such as AOAC, AAVLD, ASM, CLSI, NMC and Society of Quality Assurance (SQA).
Main job duties would include (but are not limited to):
· Bacterial isolation and identification
· Sterile media preparation for commercial sale
· Susceptibility testing
· Sample analysis of various types from many different animal species
· Dairy product testing
· Sterility testing
· Enumeration of aerobic, anaerobic and micro-aerophilic bacteria
· Quality control testing
Additional Skills:
· Time management to ensure tasks are completed in allotted time frame
· Experience with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and/or Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
· Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
· Organizational skills to maintain precise and neat data records
· High attention to detail and ability to notice anomalies
Education requirements:
· B.S. degree or higher in Microbiology (preferred)
· B.S. degree or higher in a science-related field may be considered

Pay: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
