The team is seeking an Associate with a highly collaborative approach, deep integrity, next-level organizational skills, and professionalism.The Development Associate will support the Associate Vice President of Advancement Services and six Senior Directors as needed. The associate will be responsible for scheduling team meetings and dissemination of critical communications; oversee the financial management process, expense reporting, and purchasing; manage facility needs including supply ordering and facility work orders; and support the hiring process for Advancement Services roles including the interview scheduling and candidate travel coordination when necessary. The person in this role will create, analyze, maintain, and share reporting of key performance indicators across all operational areas of Advancement Services. The Development Associate must be a leader in building and maintaining relationships across the division and University, representing University Relations with warmth and integrity, and ensuring all internal and external constituents feel heard and valued. At times, the Associate will be expected to work with highly sensitive and confidential information, while maintaining utmost integrity and respect.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the AVP of Advancement Services and six Senior Directors, including calendar management, process and systems support, team communications and special projects. Schedules meetings for the AVP while astutely managing the AVP's time.
- Utilizes knowledge of all departments within University Relations, along with a comprehensive understanding of organizational policies and procedures to assist the AVP with routine and complex administrative functions. High degree of diplomacy and tact is required.
- Oversee several financial management processes including the BuyND workflow and purchasing, hiring of student employees, non-gift check deposits, expense report processing, etc.
- Manage facility needs for Development Offices in Grace Hall, including supply ordering, facility work orders, etc.
- Support hiring process for Advancement Services roles, including interview scheduling, feedback collection, and candidate travel coordination where applicable.
- Support Gift Management teams, both ongoing and during peak times, with donor communications, gift preparation, and other duties.
- Manage other projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent years of experience is acceptable. Extensive capability in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong experience working with Gmail and Google Suite. Basic understanding of financial reconciliation. Ability to create streamlined reports from multiple databases. Ability to learn new systems (budget, travel, procurement). Professional office environment experience. Superior communications skills, particularly written. Proven ability to work independently and manage project/process work with limited guidance. Proven ability to work effectively with others at all organizational levels.
