Reservoir Engineering Manager plans and directs all aspects of engineering studies regarding the identification, evaluation, and development of oil and gas reserves within a region. Oversees the process of estimating, assessing, and planning oil and gas production and development projects. Being a Reservoir Engineering Manager ensures all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Reservoir Engineering Manager typically reports to top management. The Reservoir Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience managing professional staff who manage construction or renovations projects and project budgets with a value of $1M or higher.
- Five or more years of experience managing construction or renovation projects from programming, design, construction, to project close out in a correctional or industrial environment.
- Two or more years of experience developing a capital improvement plan for a large scale correctional, university, or industrial environment.
- Sound understanding of state purchasing rules and regulations.
Comments/ Notes:
- This position is based in Forsyth at SOSTC Headquarters and requires a minimum of 50% of the work week in Forsyth. The remainder of the work week is spent in the field on project site visits.
- This position serves as the Manager 2 who manages a team of Project Managers in the Design and Development unit who manage multiple capital improvement projects from inception, design, construction, to completion which includes budget tracking and purchasing responsibilities.
