The Resident Assistant assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Being a Resident Assistant administers and records medications given to residents. Transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. In addition, Resident Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Resident Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. You will be responsible for directly supporting the doctor by performing patient work ups which include: history taking, visual acuities, and be willing to learn and perform all other diagnostic testing needed along with documentation in the patient's medical record. Accuracy and multitasking is important. You will learn front desk duties as well.
Must work well in a team environment, be punctual and be passionate about helping patients with their eye care needs!
Medical office experience preferred but not required.
