Respiratory Care Manager plans and implements the overall respiratory care policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Respiratory Care Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the Job:

    Performs all aspects of respiratory care within practice guidelines and approved hospital policy and procedures.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Performance of respiratory therapy orders throughout the hospital
    • Drawing of arterial blood gases, analyzing ABGs and cord/venous/capillary samples
    • Management of life support ventilators and BiPAP/CPAP
    • Respond to Codes/Emergencies for airway management

    Who You Are:

    • Requires satisfactory completion of an approved AMA Respiratory Practitioner program required.
    • Completes all major competency verifications on a yearly basis required.
    • Certified Respiratory Therapist credential required.
    • ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications preferred.
    • Current NH State RCP license required
    • CPR certification required.
    • 1 year experience acute care setting preferred.
